28 November 2006 - NETELLER Plc (LSE: NLR), the leading independent online money transfer business, today announced the launch of two new country specific versions of its service in Turkey and Poland.
The company also reports that non-US customer sign-ups have benefited as a direct result of the introduction of its new ‘refer-a-friend’ program. NETELLER has also launched ‘Live Chat’ – a feature which uses VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) to enable users to speak directly to a NETELLER customer service agent from any merchant site.
Turkey and Poland launch
Launching fully localised Polish and Turkish versions of its service further diversifies NETELLER’s market presence and boosts the number of new European products launched during 2006 to eight. Earlier this year the company, which has customers in over 160 countries, launched localised services in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Denmark and Sweden.
Refer-a-Friend Program
NETELLER’s recently launched refer-a-friend programme, which pays direct cash incentives for each new referral, is already having a positive effect on customer sign- up volumes, especially outside of the US market. The new programme, launched at the end of September, has generated 13 times the number of referrals as the old program it replaced. Additionally, during October 58% of new members coming through the new refer-a-friend programme lived outside the US, and 71% of these came from Europe.
‘Live Chat’ makes customer service agents just a click away
As part of further enhancements to NETELLER’s Net Direct 4.1 merchant platform, the new ‘Live Chat’ feature places NETELLER’s, 24/7, 36-language, global customer service agents within the click of a mouse – directly from any merchant site. This means that customers can now make contact with an agent directly from the point of a problem, rather than having to simultaneously manage a separate phone call while navigating a computer screen, or needing to be transferred by a merchant’s agents. This new feature resolves customer issues more quickly and reduces merchant’s support costs.
